DBM10252 BASIC MATHEMATICS (DEP1)

BASIC MATHEMATICS consists of basic algebra, partial fractions,complex numbers, and trigonometry. In basic algebra exposesstudents with the variables, constants, and arithmetic operations. Inpartial fraction, students will be introduced to the concept of linearpartial fraction. In complex numbers, it covers some fundamentalconcepts of imaginary numbers and its representations on the complexplane. This course also covers the concept of trigonometry and the angle fortrigonometric functions.

COMPUTER APPLICATION exposes students to different packages of applications software such as Word Processor, SpreadSheet and Presentation. This course mainly emphasizes on the practical aspects of using applications software and awareness in digital world activity. Students will develop teamwork and leadership skills to present ideas and organize project. Students are able to use the information and technology skills attained for future.


DBM10163 – Engineering Mathematics 1 (Puan Norhafizah Binti Arshad)

ENGINEERING MATHEMATICS 1 exposes students to basic algebra including resolving partial fractions. This course also covers the concept of trigonometry and the method to solve trigonometry problems by using basic identities, compound angle and double angle formulae. Students will be introduced to the theory of complex numbers and the concept of vector and scalar. Students will explore advanced matrices involving a 3x3 matrix.

DBM10143 – Calculus and Algebra (Puan Norhafizah Binti Arshad)

CALCULUS AND ALGEBRA course introduces students to computational mathematics. This course focuses on applied number theory in practical computing scenarios. This course also determines solutions of graphical examples using geometry and vector methods and evaluates problems concerning differential and integral calculus.

DBM30263 STATISTICS & PROBABILITY

STATISTICS AND PROBABILITY course introduces students to basic statistical concepts such as organizing data, numerical descriptive measures, probability and its applications, probability distributions, sampling, estimation and hypothesis testing. 

This course involvestechniques to summarize and make sense of data, often using measures like mean, median, and standard deviation. Students will also explore the foundation to utilize appropriate statistical tools and probability models for decision-making.

DBM20153 Discrete Mathematics (Puan Norhafizah binti Arshad)

DISCRETE MATHEMATICS course introduces students to computational mathematics. This course focuses on examining set theory and functions applicable to software engineering, as well as analyzing mathematical structures of objects using graph theory. This course also investigates solutions to problem situations using the application of Boolean algebra and explores applicable concepts within abstract algebra that are related to the information technology programmed.
